Since my new “Sketch It Now” workshop was so well-received last month in San Clemente, I’ve decided to offer it here on the east coast this summer. I’ll be hosting Sketch It Now: Capturing the moment in your sketchbook journal here at my home, Summerhill, near Ruff Creek, Pennsylvania, August 12- 13, 2017. (We’re just an hour south of Pittsburgh, in the southwest corner of PA.)
This workshop is a sequel to my “Sketch Your Life!” class and builds upon what was taught earlier, but I’ll be reviewing the main concepts of my approach to sketchbook journaling for those who are new to it. It will be a good fit for experienced sketchers as well as beginners. I’ll be sharing plenty of fun new projects, page layout ideas, border designs and lettering styles to add some excitement to your sketchbook pages. This class is guaranteed to give your sketching practice a dose of renewed inspiration! Stop by my US Workshops page to read all about it and learn how to register.
I’m also adding an introductory sketchbook journaling workshop to my calendar here at Summerhill. Sketch Your Life!, April 19-20, 2017, is a two-day workshop that offers a great introduction to expressing yourself creatively through illustrated sketchbook journaling. I’m limiting this to a two-day class, so it will fit more easily into your busy spring schedule. Prepare to absorb a lot of information during those two whirlwind days, but don’t worry, you’ll be taking home a huge handout that’s filled with all the information presented in the class, so you can go over it all again later at your leisure. Jumpstart your creative practice with this fun, low-stress class, or add new energy to your established sketching habit. Many of my students take this workshop more than once, just because it’s so much fun! Read more about the “Sketch Your Life!” workshop on my US Workshops page.

Class size is limited for both of these workshops, so sign up soon! As an added bonus, lunch is included every day – yummy homemade soups, salads, quiches, and desserts to die for. I hope you can join us here at Summerhill this spring or summer. It’s a great place to get away, learn something new, and meet some wonderful people.
